In the first months of life, a foal needs a lot of nutrients for healthy bone development. But it is extremely important that these are available in a correct mutual relationship. Too much of one or too little of the other can lead to deviations, such as OC (D). With a wrong ratio, the absorption of necessary minerals can be disturbed.

Pavo PodoCare: minerals in the right proportion
Pavo PodoCare contains the minerals phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and vitamin D to support the optimal growth of bone tissue. Extra phosphorus and magnesium are especially important for healthy bone building. Calcium, which is often mistakenly believed to require extra, is already abundantly present in breast milk and roughage. The proportions of minerals in Pavo PodoCare are precisely tailored to the needs, based on the latest scientific studies. It contains no wheat, so is suitable for a gluten-free diet.

Pavo PodoCare feeding tip
Try to get the Pavo PodoCare foal to eat as young as possible. When they are four to six weeks old, foals usually make the first attempt to eat some solid food, often by snooping with their mother. It is wise to teach them to eat independently from an early stage by offering them their own bowl separately from the mare.

Feeding advice
To ensure that a foal does not fall short during this important period of its life, you can give Pavo PodoCare up to the age of 30 months or until the moment Pavo PodoStart eats independently. If a (warm-blooded) foal eats 1 kilo of Pavo PodoStart a day, then adding Pavo PodoCare is no longer necessary.
