If there are serious tangles, it is better to use our mat splitter. This allows you to "cut" a burdock. Remember to always cut along with the hair, from top to bottom through the fur. The scales open when the fur is dry. These then hook into each other. Then dust is added and this can result in felting. With a mat splitter you can still save that somewhat. However, if the felting has become too bad, only a hair clipper will help.
