Pyrethrum is a biological insecticide based on a natural plant extract that is rapidly disintegrating in the environment. After 48 hours you will not find a pyrethrum again. Sunlight speeds up this process. A strong insecticide with such low stability is exceptional and has the enormous advantage that the substance works quickly and also disappears quickly from the environment.
Because pyrethrum breaks down quickly, insects don't get the time to adapt and become resistant. Insects that come into contact with it immediately become paralyzed and die within seconds to minutes.

Because natural pyrethrins are degraded after a few hours, piperonyl butoxide is added. This means that this bio-insecticide remains active for a few days and treated vegetables can already be consumed two days after spraying.
