Diatoma DP is an insecticidal polling powder to combat ants and other crawling insects such as cockroaches. The powder consists of 100% crushed and ground fossils of diatoms, mined in the bed of rivers, lakes and seas (diatomaceous earth). 
Diatoma DP kills the insects by damaging their external protective wax layer that protects them from drying out. They lose fluid and die from dehydration, usually from the third day after application. Due to its unique action, the pest cannot develop resistance to diatomaceous earth.
How do I treat the chicken coop with diatomaceous earth?

Powder the chicken coop well with diatomaceous earth. This creates a barrier that unwanted parasites such as red mites cannot get through. It is important to properly treat the seams and cracks of the coop, as those are often the most sheltered and safest hiding places for parasites. It is best to already use Diatoma DP as a preventive treatment.

How do you use diatomaceous earth?
Spray – Diatoma DP's packaging has a handy spray cap at the top. Simply sprinkle the diatomaceous earth in places where insects crawl and in the openings of holes and nests. 

Watering – It is possible to make a solution from the diatomaceous earth. This makes it easier to spray into cracks and crevices. To do this, add 1 tablespoon to 1 liter of water.

Barrier – Diatoma DP can be used to create a barrier around the nest entrance and on ant paths.

Watering of surfaces: 7 g / m2
Barrier: 7 g / m (barrier 1 - 3 cm)
Ants (spray): 5 g / nest
