When flying, pigeons use a lot of energy and a lot of waste is produced. The liver plays an important role in the elemination of these waste materials. Blue discoloration of the chest muscles often indicates a reduced condition or overly rich diet, which causes an overload on the liver. Puravital, which is composed of various plant extracts, stimulates the detoxifying effect of the liver after a heavy flight, with over-energetic food and during moulting. After a heavy flight I recommend a cure of 7 days. At the start of the molt a cure of 10 days and then 2 x / week until the molt is over.
