Certainly with long-haired breeds that have been neutered or sterilized, there is often a lot of undercoat in the coat. You can easily remove this with the Coat King. For this, start with the coarse Coat King and go step by step towards a finer one. (For coats such as the Newfoundland, Golden Retriever, Berner Sennen, start with Coat King 8 and then take Coat King 12. For breeds with a thinner coat, such as the Springers or Setters, start with Coat King 12 and then go to the Coat King 20). The most important thing is to use this Coat King no more than once in 3-5 weeks. If you use the Coat King too often, then you remove too much undercoat from the coat, so that the coat no longer has any volume. Long coats will then hang down very smoothly and that is not the intention. Finally, there is also a Coat King 26 for extremely thin coats, but this is often too fine.
