Combating snails with nematodes

Slug problems? You can recognize damage by the typical hole and window-feeding on leaves. Snails are particularly fond of strawberries, lettuce, hostas, dahlias, poppies, and larkspur. A snail infestation can quickly develop because snails can reproduce incredibly quickly. Nematodes combat snails in the soil in a completely natural way. This keeps the infestation under control and prevents more snails from surfacing to damage your plants.

Nematodes are microscopic worms that naturally occur in the soil. They are the natural enemies of snails and other pests. Nematodes penetrate their prey and use it as a food source and breeding ground. This causes the insect to die within a few days. New nematodes hatch from the dead insect.

Instructions for use

1. Mix the contents of the package with one liter of water, regardless of the number of nematodes you have.
2. Stir the nematodes thoroughly into the water. This is your concentrate.
3. Depending on the package size, dilute the concentrate again with water in a watering can.
4. Pour the mixture evenly over the soil.

Always carefully read the enclosed instructions and ensure the soil remains slightly moist after treatment to ensure the nematodes continue to do their job effectively. A re-infestation may occur. In this case, administer a second treatment.

Application period: March to October at a soil temperature of 5°C or higher.

Want to store the nematodes? Store in a cool place (4-8°C) after receipt, for example in the refrigerator. Do not expose the package to direct sunlight. Use the contents of the sachet in one go and do not store the prepared mixture.
